Take Back The Night is seeking presenters for upcoming TBTN Global Virtual Events. If you can speak to any of the following, or have an idea for an additional topic, we welcome your application.

  1. Personal survivor story
  2. Poetry or spoken word – especially on topics of empowerment, healing, etc.
  3. Artistic expression – original songs, artistic works, etc.
  4. Grounding exercise – to open and/or close the Event
  5. Legal support or options for survivors
  6. Emotional support or options for survivors
  7. Title IX

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, TAKE BACK THE NIGHT

Amy serves as the Assistant Director for Take Back The Night. Amy coordinates the biannual TBTN Global Virtual Event and manages the TBTN Gear Shop. She provides technical direction to participants and volunteers for national TBTN projects and events, such as the Shine Your Light Yoga Festival. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences and professional experience in the medical field, Amy brings a passion for wellness to TBTN. Amy is also the Client Services Director for Campus Outreach Services, where she brings educational programs to schools on Health & Wellness issues, including Consent & Healthy Relationships.

Renee Rosiecki (She/Her)

PSYCHOTHERAPIST & SEXUAL VIOLENCE ADVOCATE

Dr. Renee Rosiecki is a clinical social worker, feminist, and psychotherapist whose passion for justice shines through her work. She believes every survivor of sexual violence, including those who are incarcerated, deserves to have their voice heard. Known for her ability to make complex topics accessible and relatable, Renee has dedicated her career to trauma-informed care across settings such as correctional facilities, hospitals, and domestic violence agencies. She has served as a Clinical Director and as a Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate, and now contributes as a board member of Healing TREE. Currently a board member of Healing TREE, Renee holds a Doctorate from NYU, dual licensure (LCSW, LCADC), and advanced certifications including EMDR and CCTP.

Brian Flikeid (He/Him)

POLICE CHIEF & S.A.F.E. CENTER BOARD PRESIDENT

Brian Flikeid serves in a variety of capacities, including as a Police Chief, Sexual Assault Response Team Member, Medical Examiner Investigator, Law Enforcement representative for the Rolling Hills Community Services Region, and as the President of the Board for the S.A.F.E Center of Iowa. Brian is passionate about improving victims’ access to services and training professionals in a multi-disciplinary response. His commitment to serving crime victims and training professionals has resulted in him becoming a sought-after speaker, trainer, and mentor across the State of Iowa and Nationwide as a presenter for the Office on Violence Against Women’s (OVW), Law Enforcement’s Training and Technical Assistance Consortium (LETTAC).

Sydney Searchwell-Simpson (She/Her)

WRITER, ARTIST, & STORYTELLER

Sydney Searchwell-Simpson is a writer, spiritual activist, artist, speaker, and performance storyteller. Her work invites people to cultivate deeper relationships—with themselves, with one another, with the Earth, and with the Sacred Mystery that holds us all. Drawing from her lived experiences of surviving sexual and domestic violence, her spiritual journey, and a lifetime of activism, she explores how we can heal, love, and liberate ourselves. Her life and work focus on breaking free from what she calls “domination consciousness.” Whether reflecting or playing characters in her performance art, Sydney’s voice opens portals for regenerative possibilities through courageous truth-telling and a fierce love for life.

Farhan Manjiyani (He/Him)

SURVIVOR & CONSULTANT

Farhan Manjiyani is the founder and leader in pricing strategy of f13i Consulting at Grafana Labs. He proudly identifies as an Ismaili Muslim with South Asian roots. After surviving childhood sexual assault, he committed to living authentically, sharing his story publicly after 20 years of private healing. His advocacy focuses on breaking the silence around male sexual trauma, particularly for men of color and South Asian men, by challenging stigmas and cultural taboos. Leveraging expertise in negotiation and public speaking, he works to ensure services and policies are inclusive of male survivors. A graduate of UT Austin, he has also scaled programs internationally for Ismaili Institutions and Muslim Urban Professionals.

Priscilla Bordayo (She/Her)

SURVIVOR & NATIONAL ADVOCATE

Priscilla Bordayo is a survivor, national advocate, and transformational speaker committed to helping individuals heal, find purpose, and create lasting change in their communities. She serves as the Partnerships Manager for Crime Survivors Speak, where she builds strategic relationships and advances legislation that supports survivors while addressing the root causes of harm. As a NOVA and Prison Fellowship Ambassador, Priscilla is deeply committed to justice that restores, not just punishes. She uses her voice to advocate for both survivors and those seeking a second chance—believing that true public safety comes through healing, accountability, and rehabilitation. Through her powerful story and lived experience, Priscilla inspires others to move from victim to victor—breaking cycles, restoring hope, and proving that no one is beyond redemption and every life holds purpose.

CHILD & FAMILY WORKER

Katrina Kelly has worked in the Mental Health and Counseling field for over 3 years. Katrina is a domestic violence survivor and advocate. She is on her own healing journey and deeply motivated to help others going through similar experiences. Today, Katrina will share a poem about her journey as a survivor of domestic violence.

MARKETING PROFESSIONAL & TBTN SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

Anthea Davis is a seasoned professional in copywriting, marketing, and public relations, with years of experience across a wide range of industries and sectors. She holds a degree in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations, as well as a second degree in American Studies, both from California State University, Fullerton. Anthea is passionate about storytelling, brand development, and strategic communication, bringing creativity and precision to every project she takes on. She believes in the power of words to make a meaningful difference—whether by telling diverse stories, raising awareness, or helping to create lasting change.

Lucas Herrera (He/Him)

STUDENT LEADER

Lucas is a high school student at an all-boys school in Dallas, Texas. He works to speak out about the lack of awareness that surrounds many young men. He loves reading and writing opinions, and he cares deeply about how young men are taught to think and act. Being at an all-boys school gives him the unique perspective of learning how to discuss topics surrounding the mistreatment of women in a male-dominated space. Through working with Take Back the Night, Lucas wants to show how people can fill the voids where sensitive topics are not brought to attention and help change the harmful ideas that allow violence to continue.
